The China Syndrome
I remember that I was very impressed when I saw it for the first time... Pictures and scenography were pampered in the smallest details. These days, new movies coming to the cinema, do not have 'something' hidden in this film. I especially love in The China Syndrome the soundtrack, it is one of the greatest movie soundtracks ever. So if you have not yet seen the revelation that the James Bridges served to us, turn on, look, listen and admire. The entrance song still gives me cold goosebumps. I loved this film from the first sight.
Storyline of The China Syndrome
A news reporter and her cameraman are unintentional witnesses to a SCRAM incident, an emergency core shutdown procedure at a nuclear power plant in California. Something is terribly wrong at the plant, but its owners are more interested in finances and public relations, and cover the entire matter up.
